At KC Elite, our coaches are dedicated to helping our gymnasts or dancer reach their full potential. They have years of experience in many programs and are passionate about teaching. Get to know them below!
Trisha Black
HEAD COACH / OWNER
Meet the Owner & Head Coach of KC Elite! Her dance experience includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Open and Pointe! Trisha's Cheerleading career started at 13 and continued in high school and on a Semi Pro Cheer Team with the Pella Knights. Trisha's Dance & tumbling Career began at age 4 through high school. She loves helping all her dance, tumbling and cheer kids grow and learn. She is the Head Coach of Comp Tumbling, Recreational Dance, Comp Acro, and All Star Cheer. Trisha is USTA, USASF certified Coach, AAU Cheer and Tumbling Coach, Iowa High School Coach.
Trisha was name the 2023 Nfinity Cheer Coach of the Year. She was also a 2024 USTA Tumbling Nominated Coach of year.
She has an associated degree and previously worked in Pre Hospital Emergency Care, she is CPR and First Aid instructor. She is Safesport and mandatory Report certified.
Bri Voss
DANCE COACH
Coach Bri Goldman joined us in 2020. She coaches our Mini Hip Hop Competition Dance Team. Bri has danced since she was 3 years old, she started competition at 5 years old. She became an assistant her Sophomore year of High School and then started teaching by herself her freshman year of college. She is experienced in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Clog, Lyrical, Hip Hop and has recently began to learn more contemporary style. Bri is Safesport, CPR & First Aid trained.
Bronson Black
HEAD COACH
Coach Black is our Head Double Mini & Boys Tumbling. He assists with Competition Tumbling. Coach Black enjoys teaching the kids new skills and watching them achieve their goals. He is a certified coach with the State of Iowa, USTA and AAU Certified Tumbling Coach. He is CPR, First Aid, Safesport and Mandatory Report trained. He also enjoys Coaching Baseball for the local High School Team in his spare time.
Mariah Tinnes
Mariah currently attends Sigourney High School as a Senior. She is a USTA Jr. Certified Coach. She has been on our Competition Tumbling & Cheer Team since 2017. She is Co-Head coach of our Tiny Novice Cheer Team. She assists with our TNT program. She is our head coach of all Recreational Tumbling classes and our Tiny Tots programs.
Mariah is Cpr, safesport and First Aid trained.
Sophie Young
Sophie Young currently attend Sigourney High School as a Sophomore. Sophie has been an All Star Cheerleader for 9 years, tumbling for 9 years and dancing on and off for 7 years. She is our Co-Head Coach for our Tiny Cheer program. Sophie loves helping kids learn Cheer with a sport she has such passion for!
Sophie is CPR, Safesport and First Aid trained.
Makayla Tinnes
Makayla is currently a Sophomore at Sigourney Jr. Sr. High School. She is a USTA certified JR. Coach. She competes with our Comp Cheer and TNT programs, since 2017. Makayla enjoys coaching both power tumbling and double mini. Makayla is safesport, cpr and first aid trained.
Taytum Bell
Taytum Bell currently attends Sigourney Jr Sr High School as a Senior. She has been dancing for 11 years, tumbling for 7 and All Star Cheer for 4. Taytum currently competes with our Dance, and Cheer teams. She is the head coach to our recreational Dance programs. She loves working with the younger athletes, and help them improve and learn more about Dance.
Taytum is CPR, safesport and First Aid trained.
